Parliamentary Committee of National Security has expressed grave concern over the newly-introduced screening process of Pakistanis at US airports. Committee Chairman Raza Rabbani said that Foreign Ministry should raise the issue at diplomatic level. Talking to media in Islamabad after the meeting of Parliamentary Committee of National Security, Raza Rabbani said that unnecessary screening of Pakistanis at US airports would be a serious violation of human rights. He said that continuous drone attacks on Pakistani territory took away the nation's self-respect, integrity and sovereignty which cannot be tolerated and the issue has been raised with US. He said that idea of fencing the Pak-Afghan border would be kept in mind while preparing the recommendations for national security. Earlier in the meeting, committee members said that Pakistan should be a key player in new Afghan policy. Director General ISPR Lf. Gen. Ahmad Shuja Pasha told the committee that Afghan soil is being used for terrorist activities in Pakistan. He told that drugs smugglers have been supporting the terrorists.
