SLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan, Saturday, announced his party will challenge the appointment of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry as Chairman of National Accountability Bureau.
Addressing a press conference here‚ Imran Khan described the appointment as a deal between the ruling PML-N and opposition PPP.
He said they have sent their cases regarding alleged election riggings to the Election tribunals.
“It has been four months since we approached election tribunals to probe election rigging. But no decision has been taken yet,” he added.
The PTI chief said that he will ask for verification of thumb impressions from NADRA on four seats.
He pointed that the government is not willing to tax the rich, he noted, saying salaried class was being burdened with sharp increase in electricity tariff.
Khan stated that his party would thwart attempts to rig the upcoming local body elections.
“Corruption is the biggest issue facing Pakistan. Those who came into power through rigging cannot eradicate it,” he added.
The PTI Chief demanded of the government to withdrawal increase in electricity prices.
He said farmers and common man have badly been affected by the price rise which is unbearable for them.
He said rich people should be taxed.
About talks with the Taliban, he said Pakistanis should pray for the success of these talks.
