ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that 5000 megawatt electricity would be generated within the period of four years‚ which would be included in the system to facilitate the consumers.
In an interview with state radio‚ the minister said that government is taking all necessary measures to bring improvement in the energy sector.
He said steps are being taken to generate electricity from Neelum-Jhelum‚ Nandipur‚ Tarbella IV and several others small projects‚ which would be completed in near future.
He further stated that government is making efforts to eliminate the mafia involved in the power and gas theft and the Ministry of Water and Power had taken concrete measures to nab the power pilferers.
