NEPRA has said that during past five years only 884MW additional electricity was produced. There was no increase in hydel power generation as 19MW drop in production was recorded. According to NEPRA annual report, there was an increase of 5.2289 million users of electricity from 2003 to 2009. Almost 45,700 industrial users were also added during past five years whereas the total number of industrial users has reached at 0.244 million. The line loses five years ago were 79% which were lessened to 60% in 2009.
