Rangers arrest 2 TTP terrorists, 40 criminals

Summary Sub machine guns‚ rocket launchers‚ grenades and large quantity of ammunition have been recovered.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police and Rangers have arrested two terrorists of banned terror outfits from Manghopir area of Karachi and seized weapons and explosives from their possession.

Pirabad Police Station conducted a raid in Manghpir area on Saturday afternoon and arrested two key terrorists of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Motorbikes with fake registration, bombs, detonators, and other tools and explosives, used in terrorism activities, were recovered from custody of the arrested terrorists.

Earlier, Paramilitary rangers force on Saturday rounded up 41 suspects in separate raids and recovered weapons from their possession in Karachi.

According to a spokesman of the rangers, raids were conducted in North Nazimabad, Kharadar, Cheel Chowk, Muwach Goth, Shantinagar, Sultanabad, Labour Square, Baldia Town and other areas of the city. SMG and other weapons were seized.

The suspects, according to the spokesman, are involved in target killings, extortion and bank robberies.

Rangers in its continuing targeted operation in Karachi have arrested another forty one criminals including target killers‚ extortionists and bank dacoits affiliated with Lyari gang war‚ political groups and banned outfits wanted in heinous crimes.


Weapons including Sub Machine Guns rocket launchers‚ grenades and large quantity of ammunition have been recovered from them.
