Summary Spokesman of banned TTP says Taliban cannot trust PM Nawaz after what he said in US.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan spokesman has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could not be trusted after the statement he made in the United States.
He said that Nawaz Sharif changed his stance as soon as he arrived in the United States.
TTP spokesman said the statement by Nawaz Sharif had established that he was misleading both Taliban and the people of Pakistan.
On the other hand, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that government was sincere and the dialogue with Taliban would be taken to a logical conclusion.
In an interview in New York with The Wall Street Journal, Nawaz Sharif also spelled out the conditions that Pakistani Taliban would have to accept if his government proceeded with a peace deal with the militant group, demanding that they lay down arms and recognize Pakistan’s constitution.
At the same time, he voiced fears that continued US drone attacks would wreck his policy to negotiate with the Pakistani Taliban.
