Summary

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani telephoned PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and MQM leader Altaf Hussain. The PM said that 58-2B and 17th Amendment would be abolished amicably. Sources told that PM Gilani has agreed with Nawaz Sharif to continue work on constitutional amendments under Charter of Democracy. The PM has assured Nawaz Sharif that 58-2B and 17th Amendment would be abolished cordially. On this occasion, the PM also talked with CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar. Sources told the PM also telephoned MQM leader Altaf Hussain and discussed with him the deterioratary law and order situation of Karachi and agreed upon to stop issuing statements against leaders of each others.
