Peshawar: Militant leader blew himself up

A militant leader blew himself up during a search operation being carried out by the police in Matni, a neighbouring area of Peshawar. Seven policemen were also injured due to the explosion; whereas police also managed to arrest 7 militants.According to the police, security forces were informed about the presence of Irfan, a key militant leader, and raided Saif Ullahs house. On this, Irfan exploded himself at the door.As a result 7 security personnel got injured. Three of the injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital while four of them were taken to CMH Peshawar. Seven other militants were also arrested during the search operation. Police officials claimed that the Taliban leader belonged to Dara Adam Khel.
