Dunya News

Pakistan Air Force is observing Martyrs' Day with zeal and zest.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) Pakistan Air Force is celebrating Air Force Day in order to commemorate unconquerable will and courage of Air force officers who never submitted or yielded before the enemy who attacked motherland in order to meet her nefarious aims.

The day started with special Du aa and Quran Khawani for the Shuhada of 1965 and 1971 wars and those who laid down their lives for the security of the country.

A graceful ceremony was held at PAF Headquarters Islamabad today to observe Air Force Day.

Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt laid floral wreaths at the martyrs  memorial and offered fateha.

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented guard of honor to the Air Chief Marshal.

Floral wreaths will also be laid on the graves of PAF martyrs throughout the country.

Pakistan Air Force has arranged an aviation art exhibition at the Alhamra Art Gallery in Lahore.

Around two hundred oil paintings by retired Captain Syed Masood Akhtar Hussaini and fifteen cardboard plane models by Squadron Leader Nadeem Ali have been displayed as tribute to martyrs of the 1965 war.

It is worthy of note that having superiority in martial filed, the enemy waged war against Pakistan in September 1965 not only in field but also started air strikes but Pakistan’s Air Force while using their professional skills and unparalleled passions defeated the enemy who had no option but to escape from our national territory.

Squadron leader MM Alam with his outstanding and matchless achievements terrified the enemy who was proud of her marital strength.

Having in view those outstanding achievements, Pakistan Air Force is celebrating Air Force Day today with fervor and zeal.
