PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has reiterated his resolve to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a model for country in terms of better governance and provision of services to the masses.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of KP government’s “Free Emergency Treatment Service” at Lady Reading Hospital, he stated that PTI’s legislative packages being promulgated by the provincial legislature for citizen’s right to information, anti-corruption regime, and system of effective local governments were exemplary, and sure to establish a concrete foundation for real change in the province.

“I dream for the provision of free and effective healthcare to the masses all across the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as being provided in Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Hospital.”

He also announced devising a comprehensive policy package for all the healthcare institutions to reform their functions, for ensuring better facilities for KPK masses, on the lines of other provincial departments.

According to him, more autonomy to the administration would help improving the quality of services in public hospitals, and while greeting the people of Peshawar, he also announced that emergency treatment at the hospital would be effective and free of cast and would also be extended to other parts of the province.

Imran highlighted the features of PTI’s revolutionary agenda in the province.

“Establishment of sovereign and powerful Accountability Cell under an effective legislative package hails at the top of our agenda in the province through which we would ensure transparence and clean governance,” he declared.

Imran Khan also announced a new policy of installing close circuit cameras (CCTV) at all police stations in the province in order to make police’s functions efficient.

He also applauded the efforts of Chief Minister and cabinet members for discouraging protocols and luxury livings despite serious threats to their lives, and while recognizing their efforts for better governance and provision of services to the masses he stated that he haven’t received any complaint of corruption against any of his party’s ministers.

During his day-long visit to the provincial capital, Chairman examined the performance of the provincial government and was also briefed about government’s vision for placing tourism infrastructure in different areas including Swat, Kaghan, Galyaat and Chitral.

During the meetings, the chairman advised the government to provide sports facilities to the youth of the province, while the Chief Minister, on the occasion briefed Imran Khan in detail about establishing new cities furnished with modern living in different parts of the province.
