Summary Six accused including former MNA Hanif Abbasi are likely to be indicted on next hearing.

Former Member National Assembly Hanif Abbasi appeared in Anti Narcotics Court in Rawalpindi; however, he could be indicted as lawyers had gone on strike against brutal murder of their colleagues in different cities. 

Special Judge Anti-Narcotics court Arshad Mahmood Tabassum was hearing the case, when Hanif Abbasi appeared before the court, who was given the copies of the challan but could not be indicted due to strike of lawyers.

However, nominated accused Khawaja Asad and Salim Shirazi’s interim bail was extended till September 18.

The court adjourned after fixing the date for indictment of Hanif Abbasi on September 18.

It may be recalled that Hanif Abbasi, the former member national assembly of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had lost the May 11 elections from NA-56 to Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan, and is one of the 25 aspirants who have filed their nomination papers to contest by-elections from NA-48, Islamabad.
