ISLAMABAD (Online) - Spokesperson Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI-F) Jan Achakzai has said that women voters have been barred from voting on more than 90 polling stations, while small numbers of proxy votes were polled after the agreement with local elders.

Talking to media here on Sunday, Jan Achakzai said that JUI-F had decided to file a petition in Election Commission of Pakistan on Monday repelling on around 90 polling stations, while the issue will be also raised in Peshawar High Court on Monday.

PHC has already taken sue-motto on this issue.

He said that out of 254 polling stations, JUI (F) is demanding re-polling on nearly 90 polling stations.

”Women were barred not from only 23 stations, but between 80 to 90 stations”, he added.

Achakzai said that JUI (F) will not allow de-franchise of women voters at any cost.
