Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday has announced Rs 1 billion of aid for Karachi Ashura fire affectees while the federal cabinet has approved Gwadar Port Authority Bill.Chief Minister Balochistan has been designated as Chairman Gwadar Port Authority in the cabinet meeting held on the deck of a ship in Gwadar. The authority will consist of 15 members.Talking to media after the meeting, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Farooq Sattar said today is the day of national consensus. He told that the affectees of Karachi Ashura fire will get compensation from federal and provincial governments. The aid of Rs 1 billion announced by Prime Minister Gilani is first step. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also assured of some aid and will pay visit to Karachi soon, he added.
