Jhang: Flood water inundates 100 villages
Flood water from River Chenab entered 100 villages in Jhang.
JHANG (Dunya News) – According to details, Water level in River Chenab is rising near Jhang and flood water inundated 100 more villages.
Sources informed that more than 50 persons were trapped when flood water entered Lohaywala village near Jhang. Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has issued orders to rescue stranded people and shift them to safer places.
Residents from Kabirwala, Shujabad, Jalalpur Pirwala and Ali Pur have started migrations toward safer places.
In Hafizabad, flood water from River Chenab entered more than 40 villages land route to more than 20 villages has been cut off.
Water level in River Sutlej is also rising near Bahawalpur and more than 171 villages are at risk of floods devastations.
According to Flood Control Centre, around 60,000 cusec of water is passing through Head Sulemanki.
In Dera Ghazi Khan, flood water from River Sindh has entered hundreds of villages. According to sources 470,000 cusec of water will pass from Taunsa during the next 24 hours.
