Kayani pledges support to world peace
Army Chief says Pakistan has always responded positively to the call of United Nation.
ISLAMABAD (Online): Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has pledged continued support of Pakistan in establishing peace in the world under the flag of United Nation.
Addressing a gathering in Islamabad on Tuesday‚ the Army Chief said Pakistan is a responsible nation and has always responded positively to the call of United Nation s requirements for its global peace keeping missions.
He said establishment of peace and resolution of conflicts in any part of the world ultimately contributes to international peace and stability.
He said establishment of International Institute of Peace and Stability in Islamabad will help building capacity of Pakistan to further contribute in the global agenda of peace keeping.
He said Pakistan will develop this institute into a center of excellence. General Kayani said we are looking forward to the guidance of United Nation for attainment of all these objectives.
