At least 19 people including two security officials and five children were injured in a blast near Paposh Nagar area of Karachi on Saturday night, Dunya News reported. Casualties are also feared. Panic prevailed in the area after the blast. The blast was so loud that it was heard in other nearby towns. Markets were closed down and relief activites have been started by the reascue teams. At least 13 injured have been shifted to nearby Abbasi Shaheed hospital where emergency was declared after the blast. Police have cordonned off the area and the road has been blocked for the traffic. Paposh Nagar is a congested area of Karachi as major markets are situated here. Dunya News correspondent told that a white car came to the blast site and the blast was occurred afterwards. The car has been took into control by the police officials. SSP Raja Umer Khatab told media that explosive material was plantted at the road near the car. He said that 4-5 kg material was used in the blast. Strict security measures were adopted in the whole country during the Muharramul Harraam.
