LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court has sought reasons behind removal of Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) chief executive.
Chie Justice LHC Umar Ata Bandial heard the case pertaining to load shedding today (Monday).
During case proceeding, petitioner’s counsel informed court that load shedding is being carried out during sehar and iftar timings despite government assurances.
He added that Lesco’s chief executive was removed from his post without any reason.
On this, the court directed government’s counsel to apprise the court of measures taken to end the load shedding and submit a report on electricity theft from power distribution companies.
The case hearing has been adjourned till July 26.
