SP suspension case: No one is above law, says BHC

Summary Balochistan High Court heard case against suspension of SP City by CM Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik.


QUETTA (Dunya News) – While hearing a suo moto notice case of SP City's suspension, Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Qazi Faiz Esa remarked that neither judges nor ministers are above the law.

 

Yesterday, Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik suspended SP City Sami Soomro for stopping guards of Senior Minister Sardar Sanaullh Zehri at entrance of Balochistan Assembly building.

 

The guards were insisting for going inside the building with Sardar Sanaullah Zehri but police officials not allowed them, as per rule, and this stand turned into clash between them and policemen.

 

During case proceeding today, CCPO Quetta Mir Zubair told court that no written orders were issued regarding SP’s suspension.

 

Justice Qazi Faiz Esa directed that a case should be registered against those who mistreated with the police officer.

 

The motive of the incident was equal to lowering morale of the police, the judge sated.

 

He also remarked that provincial cabinet has not been formed as yet but parliamentarians themselve have started violating the law.
