Suo motu on taxi driver killing: SC to hear case today

Summary SC took suo motu notice of taxi driver killing by Rangers in Karachi and fixed hearing for today.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The suo motu notice was taken by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry which was put by the registrar of the court. A three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Chaudhry, Justice Jawwad S Khawaja and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed will hear the case.

 

The taxi driver, Murad, along with his two-year-old son went to Gulistan-i-Jauhar to buy Iftari on Tuesday. He was shot dead by Rangers when he allegedly failed to stop his vehicle upon being signaled to do so by Rangers personnel.
