ISLAMABAD (Online) - Director General Pakistan Telecommunication Authority Waseem Touqeer has said that government is taking measures to reopen the YouTube and is removing the objectionable and blasphemous material from it.
Talking to media, he said that the government has already restricted the links containing the objectionable material. Gradually YouTube will be restored and website which will contain objectionable material will be blocked in 24 hours.
He said that government wants to reinstate this technology for public as courts have also issued the orders in this regard, but it will be reopened soon after the removal of objectionable material.
