KARACHI (Dunya News) - The law enforcement agencies on Thursday recovered a three year child, who was kidnapped for ransom.
During the raid, which was conducted jointly by the CPLC and the Anti-violent Crime Cell of the Karachi police, four alleged kidnappers were killed.
According to CPLC Chief Ahmed Chenoy, Mahi, daughter of Dr Sunil, was allegedly kidnapped from SITE area of the city. Initially, he said, the abductors sought Rs100 million but the issue was settled at Rs 60 million.
The CPLC chief said that an accused was killed during a shootout that took place between the abductors and the law enforcers when one of the kidnappers came near the Kashif Centre on the Shahra-e-Faisal to receive the money.
He said an operation was carried out for the recovery of the child in which three alleged abductors were killed while five police officials injured. SSP Niaz Khoso told media that four Kalashnikovs and as many pistols were recovered from the possession of the accused.
