Summary Rangers shot dead a taxi driver who was taking his child to buy fruit for Iftar on Tuesday.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – An innocent taxi driver was Tuesday evening shot dead by Rangers in Gulstan-e Jouhar area.
According to eye witnesses four Rangers personnel posted at the check post directed the taxi driver to stop and then opened fire at him.
The taxi driver died at the spot while his young son survived the bullets.
Police registered a murder case against the Rangers personnel at the report of taxi driver’s wife and arrested Launce Naik Ghulam Rasool.
Talking to Dunya News the wife of taxi driver said that her husband had gone to buy fruits for Iftari along with his young son. The wife of taxi driver said she did not know how she would survive without her husband as there was no one to support her.
On the other hand, DG Rangers Sindh Major General Rizwan Akhtar has taken notice of the killing of taxi driver by paramilitary personnel.
Rangers spokesman said the DG, while taking notice of the incident, has suspended Company Commander. The authorities concerned have taken all the four personnel into custody. He has also ordered strict action against the Rangers personnel involved in the incident.
