Leader of Kachi Rabita Committee Muhammad Mehboob said Saturday that PM has taken notice of the situation but no practical steps have been taken for the safety of lives and properties.

Earlier, Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah had directed the Rangers to take steps for the protection of Khichi families living in Lyari.
Displacement of Lyari residents actually started on July 4, hundreds of families left the area last Friday when the situation became more critical.

Rumours were circulated that gangsters were kidnapping individuals from different parts of the area.
