Zakat Nisab fixed at Rs41,872
Zakat would be deducted from the accounts having a balance of Rs41,872 or above.
KARACHI (Dunya News): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for deduction of Zakat on bank accounts at Rs41,872 for the year 1434 A.H.
According to sources, ministry for religion affairs has fixed the criterion for current year.
As the law of land, 2.5 per cent Zakat would be deducted from the saving accounts, however, current accounts are exempted from this.
The State Bank has issued directions to all schedule banks.
