The Swiss government cannot proceed against President Asif Zardari until some action is taken against him in Pakistan, Swiss Justice Ministry has said. A spokesman of the ministry said in a statement that if Zardari enjoyed constitutional immunity in Pakistan, there would be no legal basis for Switzerland to investigate bank accounts linked to him. He said that Swiss government hadnt received any formal request from Pakistan to re-open cases against Zardari or he could be tried. Spokesman said that first cases should be started in Pakistan against President Zardari then Swiss government could do something in this regard.
