Summary DG Rangers apprised the CM about law and order situation in the city.
KARACHI (Online) - DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Ahmed on Wednesday called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and exchanged views on security issues.
Spokesman for Sindh Rangers said the DG Major Gen. Rizwan apprised the chief minister about security threats in near future. He said such threats could affect peace in Karachi.
The Rangers chief also discussed with Qaim Ali Shah about patronization of the criminals by some elements who had vested interests.
It is worth mention here that the residents of Lyari on Monday held a sit-in demonstration outside the Rangers headquarters in Karachi in protest against a targeted operation by the Rangers.
The protesters said that the security personnel were taking lives of innocent people through their operations and leaving target killers roaming free on the streets of Lyari.
Later, after talks with Deputy Commissioner, the sit-in outside the Rangers HQ was ended. The protestors had also handed over a memorandum of their demands to the Deputy Commissioner.
