Summary All those who applied so far would be able to perform Hajj this year, says minister.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif constituted a four-member committee regarding the Hajj arrangements.

 

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will head the committee. Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammed Yousuf, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed and State Minister Pir Muhammed Aminul Hasanat are other members of the committee.

 

Earlier, private tour operators protested against the cut in Hajj quota, demanding a restoration of their previous quota.

 

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference here, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousuf announced that all those who applied so far would be able to perform Hajj this year.

 

Yousuf said 60 percent of the aspiring pilgrims would perform Hajj under the government scheme whereas 40 percent through private Hajj operators.
