Summary Police have taken action against the PML-N legislator who slapped and abused a bus hostess.
Lahore (Dunya News) - Member Punjab Assembly Nighat Sheikh is likely to lose her assembly seat after registering of a fake complaint against the hostess, media quoting officials reported on Saturday.
According to police officials, the local police have taken action against the PML-N legislator who slapped and abused a bus hostess, Iqra, for delaying giving water to her.
Nighat may lose her seat of the provincial assembly under article 63 of the constitution.
Earlier, the committee set up by chief minister ShahbaZ Sharif had found Nighat guilty of scuffle with the hostess recommending strict action against the female legislator.
“It was her who slapped Iqra and then uttered abusive words and later on get sarcastic with fellow travelers on the bus”, committee report stated.
The committee recommends withdrawing the case lodged against hostess Iqra as there is no solid evidence to support the case of MPA Nighat.
Nighat had already lost her party membership as PML-N suspended its lawmaker’s membership.
