Shahrukh Jatoi, Siraj Talpur sentenced to death in Shahzeb murder case

KARACHI (Dunya NewS) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi sentenced prime accused Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur to death in Shahzeb murder case.
ATC judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon issued the judgement today (Saturday).
The other two suspects in the case Nawaz Sajjad Ali Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were given life imprisonment.
The court also directed that the suspects would have to pay a fine of Rs 500,000.
21-year-old Shahzeb Khan was gunned down on December 24, 2012 in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) when he was returning home along with his sister after attending a wedding. He was murdered reportedly after he had an altercation with one of the suspects’ servant who had allegedly given verbal threats to the victim’s sister.
Lawyer of Sharukh Jatoi told media that he is not satisfied with the verdict and the decision will be challenged in the Sindh High Court. The ATC has given them seven days time to file review petition.
