Summary Power supply from three plants suspended after technical fault, Guddu Plant closed after fire.
QUETTA (Dunya News/ Web Desk) – Supply of electricity to most areas of Balochistan province was suspended Thursday night when main supply units were closed due to some technical problem.
1400 MG electricity got out of system due to closure of Guddu, Och plant and Habibullah Coastal Power plants.
According to initial reports, fire erupted at the Guddu Power Plant, after which the plant was completely closed.
As a result the electricity supply was suspended to provincial capital Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.
People of Balochistan are facing severe hardships due to massive power shutdown.
Meanwhile, Wapda officials have said that repair work was underway and electricity supply will be restored soon.
