Pakistan well aware of nuclear states responsibilities: US

Summary

US National Security Adviser James Jones says that Pakistan is a member of the community of nations that have nuclear weapons and is well aware of its responsibilities in this regard. Pakistan is a nuclear state and has enormous responsibilities within the community of nations that have nuclear weapons, said Jones while briefing reporters on President Barack Obamas new strategy for the Pakistan-Afghan region. And they (the Pakistanis) are very well aware of that. We have regular consultations on those issues. I think the future of US-Pakistan relationship is bright and it transcends problems related to insurgents and nuclear weapons, he added. Mr Jones also declared that the United States could not leave Afghanistan until terrorist safe havens in Pakistans tribal areas were uprooted.
