Record of people who got loans of billion of rupees from banks has been turned into ashes in store room of the National Assembly. The people who were cleared of debts include politicians, bureaucrats and retired generals. National Assembly sources told Dunya News that the record of borrowers was transferred to the store room due to shortage of place in record room where the record was burnt. Names of those people were included in the record who did not return their loans from 1985 to 2003. In 1994, PML-Ns Barjees Tahir entered question No. 240 that list of the loan-takers should be presented before the National Assembly in which the NA assembled the record. Secondly, PPPs Pir Aftab Shah Gilani entered the similar question, after which names of important people were included in the list.
