Gilani said Nawaz Sharif also didnt want to harm the present system. Earlier, Prime Minister Gilani inspected guard of honor upon his arrival at Adiala Jail. He visited those cells where President Asif Ali Zardari was kept during his incarceration. During his visit to womens cell, Gilani was told that several poor prisoners could not be released due to non-payment of fine. Prime Minister announced to pay the collective fine of Rs 9.7 million from the governments account. He vowed to promulgate laws regarding all prisoners including aged and children if needed. Gilani said he could not forward summary to President for reduction of punishment of prisoners on Eid al-Azha but pledged to recommend three months reduction.Prime Minister Gilani visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi to inquire about health of the soldiers injured during operation Rah-e-Nijat before visiting Adiala jail.
