MULTAN (Dunya News) - A marriage ceremony turned into tragedy when the bride, Shamim, was shot dead by a youth, Asghar, on the day of her ‘Mehndi’ ceremony in Basti Maluk area near Multan.
According to details, Asghar along with his accomplice Allah Bakhsh entered the house of Shamim on Saturday and opened fire, killing her on the spot.
The heirs of the deceased nabbed the accused and tortured him to death while his accomplice managed to escape.
According to residents of the area, Asghar wanted to marry Shamim but her parents fixed her marriage with someone else.
Police have registered a case under Section 302 and shifted the dead bodies to Nishtar Hospital.
