Jamshed Dasti released from jail
Jamshed Dasti was released from jail after Lahore High Court overturned his conviction.
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Former member of national assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti was released from Multan Central Jail on Thursday after Lahore High Court s Multan bench set aside his three-year jail term in fake degree case.
Dasti had filed an appeal in the High Court against his imprisonment awarded by the Muzaffargarh District and Sessions court on account of having a fake degree.
Jamshed Dasti was also disqualified to contest the upcoming polls.
It is unclear whether he will contest the upcoming elections as the election tribunal is yet to decide on his appeal.
