SC to hear Karachi law and order case today
The Supreme Court (SC) will continue hearing of Karachi law and order case today.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - A five-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will resume hearing of the Karachi law and order case today. Justice Jawad S. Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Ijaz Afzal are the other members of the bench.
During previous hearing, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had rejected police report on law and order situation in Katachi and directed SHOs of concerned areas to present reports regarding no-go areas.
The court had also asked all police stations in Lyari area to submit reports about their performance and also issued orders to conduct fresh survey about 1,426 acres of land in Qasimabad area of Hyderabad.
