6 militants killed, 8 officials injured in South Waziristan

At least 6 militants were killed and 8 security officials sustained injuries during the last 24 hours in Operation Rah-e-Nijaat in South Waziristan. Many hideouts of the militants were destroyed during the operation. According to ISPR, In Jandola Sararoga Sector, the security forces have created link between Janata village and Peak 1694. Heavy arms and explosive material were recovered during search of village Adaer Mela and Khazankai. Security Forces are patrolling Jandola, Chagmalai route in which a soldier and 2 officials were injured when a landmine was blasted. According to ISPR, in Shakai Kanigaram sector, five officials were injured when militants fired rockets on them. And 6 militants were killed in retaliation. In Rizmik Makeen sector, forces searched Letasar village and Balankisar village in which 8 hideouts of militants were destroyed. Heavy arms were recovered from China village.
