The dispute of moon sighting emerged once again as the NWFP government has summoned a joint meeting of Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and local Ulema in Masjid Qasim Peshawar on Tuesday whereas the federal government has called meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Karachi on Wednesday.The conflict that started with sighting of moon for Ramadan continued as the NWFP government granted a formal provision of moon sighting to Ulema of Masjid Qasim permanently. NWFP government has announced to support the meeting called in Masjid Qasim on Tuesday to witness the sighting of moon for month of Zilhaj. The NWFP government has also directed the zonal committee to attend the meeting. On the other hand, according to Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman the meeting to decide about the sighting of moon for Zilhaj 1430 Hijri would be held outside MET office after Maghrib prayer in Karachi.
