Karachi: Navy officer hurt in gun attack
Sources confirmed Lt. Commander Azeem was investigating Mehran Base attack.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - A Naval senior officer was critically injured when unidentified men opened fire on his car at Gate 15 of Karachi port, police said.
The police said that Lieutenant Commander Azeem Hussain, the officer, was immediately shifted to Pakistan Navy’s PNS Shifa hospital after the attack. They added that he received four bullets.
Sources said Azeem was an investigation officer in Mehran Base attack case. Police and security agencies have started investigation over the attack.
Meanwhile, two persons, Muhammad Wajid and Syed Muhammad Asif, were killed in different incidents of firing in North Karachi and Surjani town respectively.
A dacoit was also killed during police shootout in Nagin Chowrangi.
