Inspector General Police Kalim Imam has refuted Chaudhry Nisars allegations and said that killing of a suicide attacker in Islamabad was not a drama. Interior Minister Rehman Malik has ordered investigation into the incident after taking strong notice of the media reports. Talking to Dunya News, IG Islamabad Kalim Imam said the terrorists were riding a black double cabin vehicle and dropped one of their accomplices in sector E-11 on Sunday night. The attacker chanted slogan of Allah-o-Akbar as he emerged from the car. The cops opened fire at him as he didnt stop at the check post killing the attacker on the spot. Kalim told that it took one hour for bomb disposal squad to defuse the suicide jacket recovered from the attacker.On the other hand, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has ordered judicial inquiry of the incident when he was informed about the media reports. He directed Chief Commissioner Islamabad to present a report in three days.Earlier, Rehman Malik had met a delegation of the policemen lead by IG Islamabad Kalim Imam and lauded the sacrifices rendered by Police personnel for ensuring safety of citizens lives. He vowed to promote the police personnel who killed the suicide bomber to next grade.
