KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has ordered IG Sindh and DG Rangers to launch a large scale targeted operation in the c
ity.
Following the recent wave of violence in Karachi, Sindh CM held a meeting in which he ordered a large scale targeted action against the miscreants and terrorists.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Memon said the additional police would be deployed to sensitive areas of Karachi to take action against miscreants.
Memon also said that some people wanted to delay general elections, and were killing innocent people across the country.
He said police forces from other Sindh districts would be summoned for the operation.
New check posts would be set up at the entry and exit point of Karachi, he said.
