Summary A petition has been accepted by LHC for hearing against the formation of new province in Punjab.
LAHORE: Azhar Siddique, counsel of the petitioner on Thursday took the stance before the Lahore High Court that the commission formed by the Speaker National Assembly for the creation of new province was unconstitutional.
He further told the court that the commission has no authority to decide about the new province and only the people of the province have the mandate to take any decision in this regard.
The petitioner pleaded the court to declare the commission illegal and issue the stay order against the creation of new province.
