FIR of Kamran Faisal's murder registered

The FIR was registered against unknown persons under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

 

ISLAMABAD: A murder First Information Report (FIR) was registered into the mysterious death of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officer Kamran Faisal after eight days in the federal capital, Dunya News reported.

 

The FIR was registered in the Islamabad Secretariat Police Station against unknown persons under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. NAB officials have maintained that Kamran Faisal was murdered and did not commit suicide.

 

Faisal was investigating high profile corruption case in Rental Power plants which includes Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in the list of the accused.

 

After initial investigations, Police regarded Faisal’s death as suicide as his body was found hanging from one of the ceiling fans of the house. But his family members and colleagues dismissed the report, claiming that Faisal was murdered as his body bore torture marks.
