ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Tahirul Qadri’s sit-in continues for the third consecutive day at Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad.

 

Strict security measures are in place to avoid any untoward incident in the federal capital. Fresh contingents of security personnel have been deployed while a tripe-layer of containers are placed to stop the protesters from marching towards red zone. Meanwhile, the workers of TMQ have trimmed the branches of trees and have made sticks, in case they have a clash with police.

 

The TMQ leader kicked off his long march from Lahore on January 13 after government refused to implement his charter of demand.
