Summary PML-N chief has said that there is no chance of postponement of general elections.

 
LAHORE: Nawaz Sharif while ruling out postponement of general elections has said that the forthcoming polls will take place on time.

 

“Country is passing through critical juncture of its history. General elections have become the need of hour. So there is no chance of delay”, he said this while talking to visiting Indian journalists Tuesday.

 

He condemned attack on Pakistan check post from Indian side saying bilateral firing on the borders will further worsen the ties. India and Pakistan should together evolve solution to the contentious issues.


Responding to a question that one man is going to stage long march, Nawaz Shareef said referred to an adverb meant “ how a penniless person can enjoy the festivities of a fair”, and said it will soon become clear to him what long march does mean.

 

Addressing SAFMA conference, he said SAFMA and media had played pivotal role for promotion of peace. Population growth is on rise ensuing economic challenges for the country, he added. Population of both Pakistan and India has surpassed one and a half billion mark, he pointed out.

 

Both the countries should mutually find solution to all the problems they have been facing for many decades.

 

He also urged the Indian government to make investment as Pakistan has been endowed with natural resources.
