Summary 10,000 police and Rangers personnel are proposed to be deployed for the security.
ISALAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik in a meeting on Monday reviewed the arrangements and security plan for the long march announced by Chief of Minhajul Quran Dr. Tahirul Qadri.
The meeting was informed about concerns of the trading community of the federal capital.
The procession in Blue Area should not interrupt the business activity and also not paralyzed all other offices work and students are not stopped to go their schools and universities.
Different venues were offered to Dr. Tahirul Qadri to avoid inconvenience to the people.
The meeting reviewed serious threats for Qadri and participants of the long march which were examined in detailed and a team of senior officers if formed to further scrutinized this matter and submit report by January 11, 2013.
The report will also submit all the ways and means for enhancing the security.
It was also told that the participants of the long march might face problems due to weather conditions.
The Islamabad Administration is directed to keep sufficient medical staff and medicines to deal with any kind of medical emergency.
The meeting was told that Rs. 250 million would be required for security arrangements for the long march and over 10,000 police and Rangers personnel are proposed to be deployed for the security.
