Summary Punjab government has issued notifications of suspension and transfer of many YDA leaders.

LAHORE: Punjab government on Sunday issued notifications regarding suspension and transfer of many leaders of Young Doctors Association (YDA) following indefinite strike and other illegal steps.

The complete healthcare facilities have been restored this morning in all government hospitals as Young Doctors Association Punjab overnight announced to call off their strike.

On Saturday, the young doctors resumed their duties at Punjab hospitals after the association gave a deadline of six days to the provincial government to accept their demands.

It should be mentioned here that young doctors on January 3 stormed into the office of medical superintendent of Gujranwala’s District Headquarters Hospital and subjected senior doctors to torture. The doctors also did not spare the media covering the incident.

Incensed over the arrest of some young doctors, the YDA went on strike in Punjab-wide government hospitals.
