Summary Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed has been laid to rest at ancestral grave yard in Peshawar.

 

PESHAWAR: The funeral prayer for former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed was held in Peshawar on Sunday.

 

The funeral prayer was led by JI President Munawwar Hasan and was attended by a large number of politicians and people.

 

Former Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmad, breathed his last at a private hospital in F-10 Islamabad in the early hours of Sunday. He was 74.

 

Qazi Hussain Ahmed was suffering from heart disease and was under treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad. His funeral prayer will be held at 3:00pm today (Sunday) at the Jinnah Park in Peshawar.

 

Qazi was born on January 12, 1938 at Ziarat Kaka Sahib, District Nowshera, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
