Summary Five people were killed and 24 more injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at Jaffar Express

 

At least five people, including a woman and a security forces personnel, were killed in an armed attack on Quetta-bound Jaffar Express near Paneer Railway Station on Saturday.

 

According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire at the Jaffar Express soon after it left Sibbi and was passing through hilly area near Paneer Railway Station. At least 24 persons were also injured in the attack.

 

The attackers escaped from the scene when FC officials present in the area returned the attack. The dead and injured were shifted to hospital when the train, travelling from Rawalpindi to Quetta, reached Machh Railway Station.
