Summary Dr Tahirul Qadri says election commission of Pakistan has no authority to amend rules.

KARACHI: Tahirul Qadri, founder of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ), said that the long march cannot be stopped by mere dialogues, adding that the tehreek, along with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), will achieve its goal.

He was addressing the media at Khawaja House in Karachi.

Qadri termed his Karachi tour very successful. Referring to his ties with MQM, he said the visit helped in strengthening the bond.

In response to a question, Qadri said the long march cannot be stopped unless reforms were implemented by the government.

Meanwhile, he said the doors for talks were always open. However, the officials should approach TMQ themselves and meet him in Lahore.
